Winter machines, Faza technologies for road maintenance
In the winter road maintenance segment, the Umbrian company Faza, headquartered in Città di Castello (Perugia), is present with three ranges of salt spreader machines. It starts from the Felix model, which is handled through hydraulic motors controlled from the tractor, ensuring a precise and uniform distribution. Fox, on the other hand, is a machine equipped with a hydraulic motor (the controls are located in the tractor cab) which, through a screw conveyor, allows the salt to be channelled onto a rotation disk equipped with a hydraulic motor. “The centrifugal force produced in this way - explains the manufacturer to Mondo Macchina - makes it possible to distribute the salt uniformly on a surface from one to seven metres, an area wider than that covered by Felix”. In addition, the Fox salt spreader offers the operator the possibility of enriching the machine’s technical equipment with a central shaker controlled by a hydraulic motor. This solution is very useful to prevent the formation of salt clots. It can also be equipped with a guillotine closing device, which prevents the release of fine-grained salt. The Faza spreader series is completed by the SS salt spreader, available in a towed (SSA) and carried (SSP) version with collection tanks of different sizes (from 380 to 780 litres). As the manufacturer highlights, these are ideal machines for smaller surfaces. The Faza range is wide and differentiated also in the snow plough blade sector, with a range of solutions designed to meet the most diverse work requirements. From the most difficult situations (the working width reaches a maximum of 2.7 metres, with a weight of half a tonne) to the less demanding ones, with a working width of 140 cm and a weight of only 140 kilogrammes.
