RIDEMAX FROST tires, an expert on snowy terrain

BKT's first new product of the year is the RIDEMAX FROST tire, designed for use on tractors in the maintenance of public spaces in conditions of snow and ice. The tread design ensures optimal traction on snowy and icy surfaces, featuring multiple sipes on the tread blocks, which – according to the Indian company, headquartered in Mumbai – create additional contact points, ensuring constant grip and at the same time reducing the risk of skidding. Another plus of the BKT tire is its ability to incorporate snow into the grooves, trapping ice crystals in the blocks, further improving the traction of the vehicle.

RIDEMAX FROST is made with an advanced elastic compound, capable of maintaining its flexibility even at extremely low temperatures. Unlike standard compounds, which tend to stiffen and lose elasticity, RIDEMAX FROST retains its elastic properties even well below zero. The compound is made of natural rubber enriched with polybutadiene and silica, polymers chosen for their resistance and ability to maintain their characteristics even under intense cold conditions. Silica reinforcements also increase the hardness of the rubber, improving resistance to cuts and tears on rough terrain. Finally, anti-oxidant and anti-zoning additives protect the rubber from the cold and UV rays. RIDEMAX FROST rounds out the RIDEMAX range, consisting of the IT 696, for summer use, and the IT 697, a tire suitable for all weather conditions.
