Eurospand Cavallo, the salt spreaders that last over time
The SL CN and Sansone Ercole professional spreader range, produced by Eurospand Cavallo di Boves (Cuneo) is wide and differentiated, and includes machines in carried or towed versions, with a load capacity from 200 to 1200 litres. Available with a three-point hitch, the applications of the Cuneo company stand out for their high-strength frames, designed to support the weight of the salt and the stresses produced by both continuous and heavy processes (payloads up to 2000 kilos). These are reliable components designed to last over time thanks to a manufacturing process that involves a hot galvanizing treatment followed by a protective primer and a RAL 2011 powder coating, specific for road traffic. From the hoppers to the input system, from the distribution to the adjustment device, the other components in contact with the salt are made of stainless steel. The transmission units, on the other hand, have special gears that reduce the revolutions of the PTO shaft from 540 to 260 rpm. This solution, as the manufacturer explains in a technical note, limits the spreading width and minimizes possible abrasive actions inside the hopper, at the same time allowing to distribute the product in an optimal way. On the towed models, the Eurospand Cavallo has included a transmission unit with special gears that multiply the revolutions of the spreader disc compared to the rotation of the machine’s wheels. All Eurospand Cavallo salt spreaders are very well equipped with accessories, such a cover tarpaulin, street lights and stainless steel deflector. The only option provided by the Piedmontese company is the chain shaker to channel the salt more easily towards the distribution group, a solution that is recommended for all those who work with products mixed with crushed stone.
