T5 Dual Command: agility in the tightest spaces
Five models with power ranging from 80 to 117 Hp: this is the new range of tractors that New Holland is presenting at EIMA International. All powered by 3.6-liter FPT F36 four-cylinder engines, the T5 Dual Command tractors feature a new look and new features, starting with the SuperSteer front axles which feature a 76° steering angle to further improve maneuverability when turning at the headland, in smaller fields and between farm buildings. Depending on specific working needs, operators can choose between a standard unit for lighter work and narrow applications and the new HD axle for heavy-duty loader work and intensive field work.
The wheelbase is 2.35 m and tractors fitted with the standard front axle benefit from a 20% increase in turning ability under load for quicker cornering, while the more robust HD axle increases the permissible gross vehicle weight to 7,000 kg.
When fitted with 38-inch rear tires, T5 tractors combine a ground-to-fuel tank clearance of 500 mm and an overall height of just 2.67 m. Other strong points of the T5 Dual Command models include a 7% increase in rear lift capacity (up to 4,700 kg according to the manufacturer) and a new 82 l/min hydraulic pump, which offers 30% more hydraulic flow, for more effective rear linkage movement and faster loader cycle times. The transmission on the new T5 models is the proven 24F/24R Dual Command unit, with four speeds, three ranges and a two-speed PowerShift, plus electronic shuttle. The new automatic differential lock and automatic 4WD engagement make headland turns easier, while the new oil-immersed front PTO is maintenance-free, quieter and easier to engage.
Externally, the T5 tractors feature new front and side grills and new decals to match those on other recently updated New Holland machines.
These models are also equipped with an innovative digital instrument panel with a revised design that makes information easier to read; of course they can be equipped with telematics and a complete package of technologies for precision farming, including automatic guidance, the IntelliView 12 touchscreen terminal and ISOBUS Class 2 connection for tools.
Vehicle monitoring with real-time data, including precise location and service status, as well as remote viewing of in-cab displays, can be managed across numerous machine ranges through the globally available New Holland FieldOps platform. The first units of the new T5 Dual Command will arrive as early as the end of 2024.
