President Mattarella visits the Walvoil plant
More than three hundred people were present inside the Walvoil plant under construction on 29 April to welcome Head of State Sergio Mattarella, who was visiting the production site during his trip to the mechatronic district of Reggio Emilia, home to many of the Italian industry's manufacturing excellences. The President's visit, organised by the Reggio Emilia association of industrialists, stopped at Corte Tegge, where the new Walvoil plant is located.
Fabio Marasi, CEO of the company, and Fulvio Montipò, president of the Interpump Group (to which Walvoil has belonged since January 2015) accompanied the Head of State around the premises of the current plant, illustrating its innovative technologies and presenting the ranges of manufactured products. In particular, Marasi and Montipò were able to illustrate to President Mattarella the company's vision for the future, as well as the initiatives and programmes aimed at promoting not only the research and development of environmentally sustainable solutions, but also the training and professional integration of young people. "President Mattarella's visit, which falls on the 50th anniversary of our foundation, was for all of us an extraordinary emotion, which gratifies us for the commitment and passion with which we face our work every day," said Fabio Marasi at the end of the event. "The presence of our Head of State is an important testimony for the more than 400 companies operating in the Reggio Emilia mechatronic district. Companies with different but often complementary missions, which - added Alberto Rocchi, President of the Mechatronics Group of Unindustria Reggio Emilia - have the same objective, that of promoting sustainable and shared technological growth".
