From tilling the soil to sowing: Alpego's new products

Alpego is coming to EIMA with several new products. Distinctive among these are its new low-disturbance anchors, designed to improve the effectiveness of subsoilers and ensure optimal soil aeration without altering its surface structure. The use of low-disturbance anchors in subsoilers allows the soil to be aerated by lifting it without turning it over on the surface, thus promoting decompaction and drainage. On the tiller front, the Vicenza-based company (headquartered in Lonigo) launches the Tyson folding model, equipped with a horizontal S-shaped rotor that improves the processing of weeds and other crop residues, shredding and mixing them. The new Alpego tiller is designed for high-power tractors, up to 430 Hp, and is currently available in working widths of 5 to 6 m. Tyson has a dual central transmission with oil bath gears patented by Alpego, which reduces strain and consumption: the rotary power is transmitted from the center of the machine to four semi-rotors via two vertically-arranged gears in oil bath. The transmission box includes a gearbox, which varies the rotation speed of the vertical gears, which in turn transmit motion to the rotor. Its cast iron structure facilitates the natural dispersion of heat. The six-blade rotor is combined with a counter flange, which doubles the robustness and durability of the rotor. A distinctive feature of this new tiller is the ability to use it in combination with seed drills, thanks to the rollers mounted on a parallelogram and compatible with the quick coupling. When opening the machine, the safety hooks are released hydraulically and automatically. The Tyson tiller comes equipped standard with two lateral universal joints with a limiter to prevent overloads during use; there is also a curved “S” shaped hood with new shock absorbing systems, including a centralized crank to facilitate adjustment.

The hopper segment has also been updated with the launch of the pressurized Airboost. Featuring a large load capacity (up to 3,200 liters), it can distribute different products (one to three), even simultaneously.

The pressurized distribution system allows for improved performance even with large working widths and high speeds. Airboost is available with 2 or 3 Avion dispensers, made of steel and high performance (from 1.5 to 480 kg/ha), and with capacities of 2,400 or 3,200 liters. The new Duo Rubber seeding bar rounds out the package, featuring a double seeding disc with a diameter of 340 mm, a sharp profile and double internal scraper, and a roller on a parallelogram, which allows the bar to remain parallel to the ground as the load varies.

The Duo Rubber Alpego has a high clearance between the 2 sowing rows (35 cm) and is equipped with a 320 mm depth wheel to keep the parallelogram at the set depth. The single seed-covering comb, mounted on each furrower, is able to adapt its movement to the particular morphology of the terrain and to any depressions present in the soil.
