EnerG: the versatility of Forigo's new self-propelled vehicle
A recent winner of the EIMA 2024 Technical Innovation competition, the Mantua-based company Forigo is showcasing EnerG its first self-propelled, autonomous electric vehicle at the Bologna exhibition. This new vehicle is equipped with four steering wheels that allow it to move forward in any direction and has been designed to perform up to three operations simultaneously. It is capable of shredding, trimming and sowing in just one pass without any polluting emissions and, thus, in a completely environmentally-friendly manner. EnerG is equipped with advanced remote diagnostic systems that allow remote monitoring of the status of some operating parameters such as battery charge, component functionality and general vehicle performance.
Data collection allows the operator to prevent any mechanical problems, and to schedule maintenance work only when necessary. Furthermore, thanks to its integrated autonomous driving technology, EnerG can avoid obstacles and optimize operational routes when working. The vehicle's millimetric-precision positioning system is essential for agricultural activities that require the greatest possible precision, such as sowing, fertilizing and weeding.
Other pluses offered by the Forigo self-propelled vehicle include the network of sensors that scans the working environment in real time and, thanks to the aforementioned obstacle detection system, helps the vehicle stay clear of any potential collisions.
