Comer Industries: all the qualities of the VP cardans
At the Comer Industries stand, the spotlight is on the VP cardans. The range consisting of seven models ensures easy maintenance, thanks to the alignment of the access holes with the grease points, and high performance. Also on display, the Powershift A-614 mechatronic system
Professional cardans of the VP range are greatly highlighted at the Sima in Paris. Composed of five standard models and two constant speed universal joints, this line of components - equipped with a special safety device - is prized for the very high level of performance and for the easy maintenance procedures, made possible thanks to the alignment between access holes and grease points. Thanks to this particular constructive solution, the operator can perform lubrication operations without detaching the PTO from the cardan. For this reason, professional VP cardans have longer service intervals than conventional ones. As explained by the manufacturer, depending on the conditions of use, these intervals can reach 250 hours of operation.
Equally innovative is the single-chain which locking system which, in addition to ensuring the greatest possible safety, allows to move the gussets backward, thus facilitating the coupling to the tractor PTO. The VP7 CVJ model with constant speed universal joint is instead equipped with a new protection designed to allow the PTO to work at a maximum angle of 80°, without being hampered by the protective shield of the tractor.
Moreover, thanks to its hinged plates, the CVJ system ensures an optimum seal of the lubricant and, consequently, a reduction of lubrication intervals.
The safety devices of the VP cardans such as - for example - the limiters, are designed by Comer Industries following very strict quality requirements, in line with international standards, and thanks to a system of shaft cones and gusset caps are able to protect the operator from any risk associated with the use of agricultural machinery. In short, the range of VP cardans is a line of components designed for the most intensive applications, especially for subcontracting companies.
The VP series, together with the two- or three-speed Powershift solution and the high torque planetary gears for final augers, represents the full package for high capacity mixer-wagons.
The Powershift A-614 is a mechatronic system that supplements the mechanical transmission, the hydraulic system for managing the clutches, and the electronic control unit (ECU), the brains of the product, which handles the gear changes without torque interruption.
