Stiga, sixty chainsaws donated to the Veneto Region
The Stiga Group, a production company based in Castelfranco Veneto (TV), leader in the field of gardening machines, donated sixty chainsaws to the Veneto Civil Protection Agency last January, as a support for maintenance work in the areas that were hit by extreme weather events last autumn, suffering significant damage in the forest areas with the felling of nearly nine million cubic metres of timber. The tools will be delivered to various organizations linked to the Civil Protection Agency that have been activated and are working to contribute to the restoration of the wooded areas of the territory and to recover the wood. “Our company - said Dimitri Fratus, Stiga General Manager Italian Market - has historical roots in Veneto and we believe it is our duty to help the population of the affected areas. In the past we have been alongside other regions in times of emergency, and social responsibility is one of the pillars of our company. In this case we decided to donate chainsaws because they are a concrete help that responds to a need that will also be there in the medium term”.
