Sicma, innovative solutions for soil processing
It’s time for news at Sicma. At EIMA International, this company from Abruzzo (the headquarters are in Miglianico, in the province of Chieti) deploys all the prized pieces of its collection. It starts with the Sicma EC rotary harrow, a compact machine ideal for open field cultivation. Its standard version is equipped with a quick adjustment leveling bar, attachment to the third point designed for combination with seed drill and single speed gearbox. Among the options provided by the manufacturer, five different types of roller, a two-blade rotor with refining fins, a straight breaker pair, a two-speed reducer (540+1000 rpm) and hydraulic roller adjustment. The power draw ranges from 40 to 150 horsepower. The RG BIO Sicma model, on the other hand, is a heavy fixed rototiller with a power draw from 90 to 160 horsepower. It is a 2+2 speed machine with front twin wheels and hydraulic jack for increased fan opening. “To create this rotary tiller - explains the manufacturer with a note - we started from a ‘traditional’ model and then developed mechanical solutions suited to minimum soil tillage”. This is the case, for example, of the pair of twin front wheels that allow you to precisely and uniformly adjust the cutting depth in a strip of soil (from 3 to 9 cm) where the compost effect is obtained by mixing the cut organic mass with the soil. Also in the rotary tiller segment, the RX Sicma is an application for high-powered tractors, which will soon be available on the market. There are two models: the A version, suitable for tractors with powers between 120 and 200 Hp and working widths of 300 and 350 cm, and the B version, suitable for tractors with power between 150 and 270 Hp and working widths of 360-410-460 and 510 cm. Both models can be equipped with smooth rollers, packer, cage and spiral.
