Thanks to a partnership with Actia, a French group specialized in the management of automotive fleets, Argo Tractors implements data transmission and remote diagnostics on board the Landini, McCormick and Valpadana tractors. The heart of the new system is the TGU-R electronic control unit (designed by Actia) which constantly monitors the main operating parameters of the machines, such as - for example - consumption, operating temperatures and work sessions. The data is accessible to the operator on the “Landini Fleet management” and “McCormick Fleet Management” web portals, also developed in collaboration with the French company. On these platforms, the company fleet manager can check the activity, performance and operation of each individual vehicle. "The technology developed together with Actia - reads a technical note from the manufacturer - makes it possible to optimize the management costs of the machine fleet and increase its productivity, using precise analyses of daily statistics on vehicle consumption, on the type of processing, and on the crop".

Furthermore, the detection of environmental parameters and the reporting on the portal of any alarms related to the operation of the tractors allow the remote execution of a first level of diagnostic assistance, aimed at preventing possible vehicle breakdowns. When as anomaly is confirmed, the remote diagnosis allows the diagnostic device to be connected remotely to the vehicle (via the electronic control unit).

This way it is possible not only to intervene in a timely manner on any downtime, but also to optimize the management of the machine fleet through the efficient planning of the maintenance schedule.
