Trelleborg Tires, designed to be sustainable
Trelleborg Tires is debuting two important new products at EIMA International. The ART1000 (Agriculture Rubber Track) is the first rubber track for the agricultural sector of the Yokohama TWS company brand. The tire is designed to be used on high-powered machinery and, thanks to high-quality compounds, to last over time as well as to offer top-level performance. The design of the track, equipped with a tread featuring high-tech teeth, minimizes soil compaction, promoting – says the manufacturer – healthy root growth and nutrient absorption by plants. One of the most distinctive aspects of the ART1000 is its self-cleaning ability which provides great traction and driving comfort even in the most demanding contexts. Among the tires at the Trelleborg Tires stand, the TM1 ECO POWER model, specifically designed for use on the hardest terrains, also stands out. During the design phase, great attention was paid to the environmental sustainability of the tire, which was in fact created by Trelleborg Tires technicians with 65% organic and recycled materials. Comparison tests with other agricultural tires have shown that TM1 ECO POWER reduces rolling resistance by up to 47% – as stated in a note from the company – and this allows tractors with traditional motors to reduce fuel consumption (up to 3% according to the manufacturer), and tractors with electric power to save battery power. Furthermore, the tread design, combined with self-cleaning properties, provides greater traction on the most demanding terrain types. According to studies conducted, TM1 ECO POWER tires offer up to 26% more traction than other models on the market.
