McCormick is relaunching its medium-high power range with two models in the X7.6 VT-Drive range: the X7.621 with 200 Hp and X7.624 with 240 Hp. Argo Tractors tractors are equipped with a 6-cylinder FPT NEF 67 engine that meets Stage V emission requirements. The 4-stage continuously variable VT-Drive transmission allows a top speed of 50 km/h to be reached (in eco mode and where permitted), while the IFS independent front suspension (hydraulically suspended and electronically controlled) ensures driving comfort and safety on the road and in the field.

The newly designed Clever Cab offers 14% more interior space and 16% more glass area for improved visibility. The heat-insulating door windows are made of ComfortSky® – a special compound developed by Saint Gobain – and, compared to traditional windows, ensure a temperature differential of up to 6 degrees, as well as reducing noise. Furthermore, the new position of the handles makes it easier for the operator to climb in. Outside there are LED light clusters, both front and rear, inside the infotainment system is new (integrable with Apple Car or Android Auto) as are the rearview mirrors and the space of the refrigerated compartment. Finally, the controls have been redesigned to be easier and more comfortable to reach, while the dashboard and digital interfaces have been enhanced. The new instrumentation installed in the dashboard is also digital.

Features of the McCormick X7.6 VT-Drive transmission include the SmartPower Zero function to ensure that the tractor remains stationary after the reverse shuttle has been engaged, waiting for a movement of the accelerator pedal or joystick, offering greater comfort to the operator during transport and field operations, as well as when hooking up equipment. The McCormick EazyGrip system manages tire pressure from the cabin, via ISObus, reducing wear. EazyGrip ensures optimal pressure at all times – from the road to the field – optimizing fuel consumption and traction.

The McCormick X7.6 hosts mechatronic systems to support driving and fleet management, from PSM – Precision Steering Management (satellite-assisted steering technology) to the McCormick Fleet & Remote Diagnostics Management system for real-time fleet control, analysis of data from the tractor, and remote maintenance scheduling. The tractors are then integrated with McCormick Farm, an App created to facilitate the management of the farm from an agronomic point of view.

X5.120 P3 Drive. In addition to the X7, McCormick is relaunching the X5.120 P3-Drive, the most powerful model in the X5 family, distinguished by its P3-Drive transmission, 36+12 or 48+16 with HML and creeper, designed and built entirely in the Argo Tractors' facilities. A combination of 3 PowerShift (HML) and 4 robotized gears is available for each range, offering 12 ratios that can be managed in sequential or automatic mode for each of the 4 ranges. Everything is managed via the SmartPilot Joystick (on the new right console), taking advantage of the Auto PowerShift (APS) function which automatically shifts into gear as the speed increases.

Equipped with a 3.6-liter, 4-cylinder, 16-valve FPT F36 Stage V engine, the range delivers power outputs from 95 to 114 Hp and maximum torques from 395 to 460 Nm, all in a compact tractor with a 2,354 mm wheelbase. It is a versatile, compact tractor with a shipping weight of just 4,000 kg, suitable for farm work, but also for demanding jobs, open field operations, and also for small farms (stable and material handling activities when equipped with the M20 loader). The precision design of the exhaust gas post-treatment system consisting of DOC, DPF and SCRoF is housed entirely under the hood to ensure greater compactness and visibility.

In addition to the P3-Drive transmission, it is worth noting the introduction of ADS+ for steering. This steering system's main purpose is to improve operator comfort, especially during headland maneuvers: the dual-stage power steering which integrates the Eazysteer function, allows steering to be completed using just one and a half turns of the steering wheel. In addition, ADS+ comes with other features, such as automatic wheel realignment after a turn, reduction of vibrations on the steering wheel, preparation for satellite-assisted driving systems and increased steering stiffness depending on speed.
