Tera 12, the innovative display signed by Cobo
EIMA Show has staged the new Tera 12”/10”/7” display line, produced by the Cobo group, a business based in Brescia (headquarters in Leno) specialized in designing, developing and supplying of global solutions and of integrated systems for the off-highway vehicle market. The Tera line has a touch-screen glass-on-glass user interface (there are no buttons) waterproof and scratchproof, and it is equipped with a monitor with SVGA display (800x600) with LED technology, equipped with a 32-bit ARM processor. Nevertheless, the real “plus” of this model is represented by the strong environmental resistance (it can work with a range of temperatures between -20 and +70 degrees Celsius), typical for applications on mobile machinery operating the Can-Bus network. The brief notes provided by the Lombard company state that «The Tera unit has the low-power standby function, and is based on the Linux operating system, the ideal solution as an interface for high-level man-machine systems». There are two video inputs available that require two USB slots (one of which is accessible, together with the SD input, directly on the monitor), and one for the Ethernet network. Cobo monitor-displays can be programmed through the VT3 system, a proprietary programming tool that combines WYSIWYG (the intuitive interface for screens) with the IEC61131 standard for logic. Among the TERA’s plus there is, undoubtedly, its versatility, since it can be installed - as specified by the group from Leno - both on a built-in and on a joint holder one. The TERA12 HE version utilizes the powerful Freescale IMX6TM processor, which combines the characteristics of advanced multimedia with those of graphical management, to the full advantage of 3D and calculation speed. The Cobo Tera display line is ISOBUS certified: UT, TECU, AUX-IN, TC-BAS, TC-GEO, TC-SC.
Another new feature presented is the Cobo Digital-Farming system in TouchAgri (https://www.cobointouch.net): thanks to a powerful connected and geo-synched control unit, it is possible to track all the works in the field, to measure the consumption of vehicles, to automatically recognize the connected tools, the withdrawals of fuel from the tanks and manage the operators’ activities. From the Enterprise 4.0 perspective, it is a true complete ecosystem for the digitization able to economically monitor the company.
