RF2.3-Eco: the fully-electric motor brush from Repossi
The RF2.3-Eco electric-powered brush from Repossi in Pavia (headquartered in Casorate Primo) is the natural evolution of the previous hydrostatic-powered model. The transition to the electric version – explains the manufacturer in a note – is made possible by a special kit that allows the machine to maintain the same operational performance of the hydrostatic model, but without producing harmful emissions and without generating noise pollution. Like its predecessor, the RF 2.3-eco model brings feed closer to the cattle, mixes it while maintaining uniform moistness and perfectly cleans the feeding lane of the barn. At each pass, the Repossi motor brush stimulates the cows to feed, thus increasing their productivity. Thanks to its power steering, the vehicle can steer at any speed with minimal effort on the steering wheel: this system, together with the ability of the rear wheel to rotate 90° in both directions, allows the motor brush to turn on a radius of just 1.7 m. Agility in maneuvering in the tightest spaces, ease of use and speed of movement are therefore the salient features of a machine that also stands out for its decreased maintenance needs. But the real command post of the motor brush is the raised central driving seat (offering the operator a complete view of the feeding lane); it is from here that the operator controls the advancement, lifting, lowering, starting and stopping of the vehicle, as well as the operation of the brushes. All controls, except traction, are hydraulic. Finally, it should be noted that the RF2.3-Eco model can be equipped on request with a hydraulically operated rotating side brush suitable for cleaning the residual food from the feeder.
