Topcon join the business network AI4FARM

New entry in AI4FARM, the business network created in 2022 by Image Line and Agricolus that brings together companies specialised in precision agriculture able to provide a common vocabulary for interoperability between the different information and management systems, and make the digital aspects of farming easier.

This is Topcon Agriculture, the agricultural arm of the Topcon Positioning Group, a U.S. company specialising in the design, manufacture and distribution of precision measurement and workflow solutions in the agriculture, construction and geospatial industries.

The companies promoting AI4FARM - Image Line and Agricolus - are respectively an Agrodigital Hub in Faenza (Province of Ravenna) that provides integrated digital services for agriculture and assistance for marketing and communication strategies; and a innovative company in Perugia that develops digital tools for the agricultural sector and carries out training activities for farmers and professionals on the subject of Agriculture 4.0.

Image Line shares with the project its expertise in software for the management of official activity records and legal field data, such as QdC – Campaign Notebook; Agricolus - the Decision Support Systems (DSS) for field activities; Topcon - the know-how related to precision agriculture instrumentation.

In a note released by the network, a concrete example of the synergy between the three partners is given: Topcon digital solutions for collecting data of the various parameters in the field – solutions that can be installed on vehicles and equipment of each brand – send the information to the Topcon Agriculture Platform (TAP) where the farmer can decide to send the data automatically to the QdC and Agricolus platforms that manage the administrative and agronomic part of the farm. The data thus processed returns to the TAP platform offering business managers all the information for optimal machine use and prescription maps for processing.
