Valtra's S Series wins design award
The Boss, as Valtra's sixth-generation S Series is called, has won the 2024 Good Design Award in the Industrial category, which is given by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, the most innovative in the industrial design sector. The Chicago institution recognized the S Series as “a modern and efficient tractor with a self-confident appearance, featuring typical Scandinavian design, whose clean lines support simplicity and practicality of use”. The aggressively sloped hood gives the tractor a distinctive look and offers excellent visibility of the working field. The S Series tractor is the first in the industry – says the Finnish company – to feature a fully integrated headlight unit, including state-of-the-art LED main/high beam headlights, daytime running lights and front working lights. The S Series tractor range, which already attracted the interest of operators at Agritechnica back in 2023, saw the delivery of its first 50 units with a special event held at the Suolahti production facility in Finland, the brand's headquarters and the site where it is manufactured. “We are delighted to have won the Good Design Award 2024,” said Matti Tiitinen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Valtra EME, “which is a testament to the tractor’s form, functionality and high quality.” It is worth noting that the S Series tractor can be customized with a wide range of optional features offered as part of the Valtra Unlimited Studio. Operators can choose from among solutions that improve the comfort, style, productivity, efficiency and safety of the machines.
