Topcon and Image Line 'interface' data platforms

Topcon and Image Line formalise their technological collaboration by interfacing the TAP and Quaderno di Campagna platforms. The TAP system records, organises and manages all the crop treatments carried out in the field and transfers them bi-directionally to the farm machinery; it also allows work orders processed by the farm operator to be sent. The QdC (Quaderno di Campagna) programme, on the other hand, records the treatments carried out in the field, guiding the farmer in the choice of product and dose to be used, according to the provisions of the law.

According to current legislation, farms are obliged to collect data on pesticide treatments, spraying and other crop operations, and to provide it to the relevant CAA (Agricultural Assistance Centre), so that it can be included in the information managed by AGEA (Agency for Agricultural Disbursements) in order to access the contributions provided for by the new CAP.

The integration of the two systems will make it possible to share information relating to the date and type of operation carried out, the equipment used, the area treated, the operator who carried out the operation, and finally, the time taken to complete the operation.

Thanks to the agreement between Topcon and Image Line, the farmer will be able to export the data collected on TAP automatically to the QdC, which will check, validate and send it to the CAA.
