Less maintenance for the H3 Direct mulcher

Seppi M. introduces a new version of its H3 flail mulcher: the Direct model. The H3 Direct has been designed by Seppi M. technicians to be combined with excavators with a hydraulic flow rate of 25-60 l/min and features a working width of between 60 and 85 centimeters. Its compact size means that the machine can be used with mini-excavators and can work even in the tightest spaces, where the SMW flail can shred grass and shrubs up to a diameter of 3 cm. The main innovation introduced by the technicians of the Mezzolombardo (Trento) company is the direct transmission which involves the coupling of the gear motor with the rotor. This solution – explains the Trentino manufacturer in a technical note – not only offers the operator greater safety but also reduces the need for maintenance, since it prevents failures caused by wear on the transmission belts. Advantages of the Direct model include the Drainless system, which eliminates the third drainage pipe and makes it easier to combine the machine with the mini-excavator. The frame of the mulcher is made of wear-resistant AR400 steel, and its low weight and robust structure do not place a burden on the excavator's hydraulic system, making more power available to the rotor.
