The TFe43.7, Merlo's new green telehandler
Merlo is expanding its range of Generation Zero models with a new telehandler which, after being previewed at the latest Agritechnica event, is now making its official debut at EIMA International. This is the TFe43.7 which, like the Generation Zero leader, the e-WORKER, is distinctive for its zero fuel consumption, noise, vibrations and, obviously, polluting emissions. The TFe43.7 telescopic handler is thus already a 100% green vehicle, which aims for maximum environmental sustainability but without sacrificing the safety, comfort and performance that have always distinguished the best sellers of the Piedmont-based company. This is the position that the latest creation from Merlo also aspires to, having recently obtained an Honorablel Mention award in the Technical Innovations competition and is therefore a candidate to become a true flagship for the Piedmont-based company in the medium-capacity telescopic handler segment. Equipped with a seven-meter arm and a maximum load capacity of 4.3 tonnes, the TFe43.7 model reaches a top speed of 33 kilometers per hour and features a battery pack characterized by great autonomy (eight hours) and a charging time of three and a half hours. According to the Cuneo-based manufacturer (headquartered in San Defendente), the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the new telehandler – that is, the overall cost of the vehicle, including the purchase price and management costs relating to its entire life cycle – is lower than that of a traditional model.
