The new X310 lawn tractor from John Deere
The most recent arrival in the John Deere range of lawn tractors is the new X310 joining an already ample line-up from the American multinational in the X300 family redesigned to bring out modern restyled tractors featuring great maneuverability thanks to hydraulic power steering coming as standard equipment. The X310 model is equipped with a hydraulic lift control lever for the desk located on the dash near the steering wheel for quick, easy, and precise fingertip control of equipment and implement float, which allows cutting to follow the ground contour in mowing increments of 6 mm without need for the operator to leave the drivers seat. The cutting width is 107 cm and the height ranges from 25 to 102 mm to make the tractor ideal for mowing areas of lawn of up to 8,000 m². The X310 is powered by a John Deere iTorque™ power plant with a V-twin air-cooled design providing smooth and quiet power and mounts a heavy-duty electric PTO clutch operated with a convenient dash-mounted switch for easy and smooth engagement of the blades. Leaving nothing to chance, John Deere fitted an open-back, high-back seat ensuring a comfortable and smooth ride which turns mowing jobs into a pleasurable hobby. The vast array of accessories available for the X300 series extend from a mulching kit to counter-balancing wheel weights recommended as ballast for use when working with collection hoppers and especially when deploying a blade for clearing snow. The collection hopper, with a 250 liter capacity for the X310 model, is a bagger chute with a Power Flow system with a bayonet attachment for easy installation. A counter-clockwise rotating fan blows the mowed materials to the conveyer. The blower fan in a polyethylene housing is lightweight and can be easily angled to blow the material to the conveyer. Moreover, the bagger is equipped with a fill indicator to let the operator know when the collector is nearly full and blocks the conveyer. The X300 can also be fitted with various pieces of compatible equipment for various tasks, including clearing snow by mounting a front blade and tire chains.
