Alpego's new production facility in Lonigo, a town situated halfway between the cities of Verona and Vicenza, will be inaugurated on March 23, 2025 with a day open to the public. The premises cover a surface area of more than 12,000 square meters, and serves not as just a production facility but as a true strategic hub, reflecting the long-term vision of the Veneto-based manufacturer and attesting to its commitment to innovation and sustainability. The Lonigo facility was created in order to handle the necessity brought on by Alpego's expansion of its product ranges and models. It features technologically advanced production systems and automated processes conceived of with the goal of optimizing and making workflows even more efficient. The innovative heat recovery system is also a technological advance that makes it possible to significantly limit energy consumption and reduce the environmental impact of factory operations. These operations, explains the Vicenza-based company in a note, are managed and monitored remotely by means of an advanced data sharing network system. “Technological innovation plays a key role in the development of advanced and sustainable solutions, creating a virtuous path that encompasses every phase of the production cycle. From design to the finished product – says Luca Pegoraro, Chief Technology Officer of Alpego – our goal is to combine quality, efficiency and environmental friendliness”. Precisely for this reason, the Lonigo facility was designed and built in such a way as to bring together all the production units, grouping them together and reducing the distance between them. Logistics in particular will benefit from this reorganization, as it will see a significant decrease in material handling. “We are aware of market expectations. The context is constantly evolving, and requests are increasingly specific and customized. We chose to invest in such an ambitious project precisely in order to provide a concrete response to the needs of the agricultural machinery world. We want to maintain the highest standards – adds Nicola Pegoraro, Head of Sales for the Veneto-based manufacturer – while continuing to improve. It fills us with great satisfaction to benefit from so much loyalty. It motivates us to keep looking forward and seek out new solutions and opportunities". The decision to inaugurate the new facility with a day “open to the public” both for employees of the Vicenza-based company and the community of Lonigo was not by chance, but rather came about from a desire to strengthen the synergies with the local territory that has contributed so much to the success of Alpego. Guided tours of the new facility and a scale model exhibition with more than 100 display cabinet are planned for the March 23rd event. Other scheduled attractions include a Farming Simulator video game station, a children's area with inflatable castles and entertainment, and a variety of food trucks with many tasty proposals. “Our investment (in the Lonigo hub, ed. note) is the latest addition to all of the concrete initiatives we have undertaken to support the area. The success we have achieved sees us operate on the international stage, yet – concludes Filippo Pegoraro, General Manager of Alpego – we are proud to remain firmly rooted in the area where our company originated and developed more than 35 years ago”.
