Flaily, the versatile lawnmower from Hermes
Flayly is a lawn mower developed by Hermes of Gargazzone (Bolzano) for cutting grass and shredding pruning residues, up to 2 cm in diameter, in vineyards and orchards. The electronically balanced rotor is equipped with twin free-running articulated blades that rotate at a very high speed, while the numerous blades perform a wide overcut for optimal cleaning. Robust and manoeuvrable, versatile and reliable, Flaily is able to evenly distribute mowing residues, keeping them slightly raised off the ground, thus facilitating and speeding up the decomposition process of plant residues.
The Flaily lawn mower - explains the manufacturer in a technical note - provides top performance even with typical municipal operations. The agility of manoeuvre and the possibility of working even with high grass and brushwood make this model an ideal working tool for cleaning roundabouts and sports fields.
Quality is another big plus of the Hermes lawn mower. Every component is carefully selected, tested, worked on by qualified personnel - reads the manufacturer's note - and all stages of the production process are carefully monitored to guarantee machines of the highest level. The version of the single-row mower is highly specialised in inter-row work with inter-row blade disc or mechanical weeder. With the inter-row disc with blades, available in 55 or 65 cm diameter, Flaily can perform inter-plant work, adapting to different planting distances. In addition to cutting the grass between plants, the mechanical suckering/weeding unit allows work on the trellises at the base of the vines without damaging the plant. In the double inter-row version, Flaily is able to mow the grass not only between rows but also between the vines in a single pass.
Also in this case, the machine can be equipped with inter-row discs (55 or 65 cm) or with 45 or 60 cm mechanical suckering/weeding units. It should also be noted that the operator can hydraulically exclude the inter-row discs to work only within the row (as in the case of shredding vine shoots in vineyards after pruning). On this model the South Tyrolean manufacturer has provided a configuration without inter-row spacing, with working widths from 1 to 2.1 metres. As standard, the mower is offered with a lowered multiplier unit for working close to the grape harvest when care must be taken not to damage the grapes.
The large number of double curved blades with a central straight one, rotating at more than 2,800 rpm, optimally chop grass and shoots, while the rear levelling roller is height-adjustable to find the ideal cutting height in every situation.
