VRX 170 Competitor round baler, Bargam aiming for versatility
The variable chamber chain round baler which allows the operator to select the final diameter of the bale from 100 to 170 centimeters and vary the density of the core with the use of dedicated hydraulics is the VRX 170 Competitor model brought to the EIMA Show demonstrations by Bargam, a manufacturer in Imola, near Bologna.
To note among the most significant technical features of this baler are a highly resistant four-chain belt, a Mato laced compression chamber and two cylinders and individual preset mechanical hooks for opening and closing the tailgate. The feeder components are a pickup with a width of 207 centimeters and an alternative comb infiltrator. The configuration of the drawbar can be altered from a standard hitch to a hitch from above for adapting it to all types of tractors and the eye hitch is available in a swivel version. The tires mounted as standard equipment are 11.5/80 - 15.3. The twine delivery system can handle net binding or double twine and the Bargam baler can work alternatively with one option or the other, according to the requirements of the operator, with no option to use both in combination. The baler is managed manually with a user friendly electric CPU. Also to be reported is that Bargam is planning a full series of optional features including lights for road transport, 19.0/45 - 17 tires, a wrapped bale ejector and a device for the lubrication of the chains.
