The versatility of the Strip-Till 6000

Keeping one eye on the environment and the other on the sustainability of agricultural operations, Falc is launching its new folding Strip-Till 6000 tiller with 8 or 12 rows spaced at 750 mm and 500 mm, respectively, at this year's EIMA International event. Developed as an evolution of the fixed model, the latest addition to the Falc range stands out for its innovative soil tillage system, which combines the benefits of conventional tillage with the advantages of no-tillage, thus respecting the principles of minimum soil tillage. According to the manufacturer from Ravenna (headquartered in Faenza), based on the width of the rows, the new model being presented in Bologna will make it possible to leave up to 70% of the soil surface unworked. In addition to protecting the soil from erosion and drying, this also reduces working times and costs by creating, in a single pass, the seedbed for row crops. Additionally, untilled strips help prevent soil compaction while preserving soil fertility and moisture. The Strip Till 6000/P is available in two row spacing sizes. From a strictly agronomic point of view, the 8 or 12 front subsoilers, ensure adequate depth breaking of the soil and provide more effective refining action by the hoes. The hydraulic adjustment of the rear support rollers allows the hoes to be easily adjusted to the required working depth (between 10 and 25 cm). This stimulates the root development of the plants, helping them to more easily penetrate the deeper layers of the soil.

Shifting the focus to viticulture, Falc is presenting an interesting update to its “Bio-Friendly Range” of mulching shredders: the T-Win model. Created for a highly professional clientele, who specifically work in vineyards, the new shredder takes its place alongside the Spit Green, Spit Green Vegetables and Spit Green Hydro models. Shredded material is expelled to the right and left side of the machine using two low, rounded conveyors that preserve the vine's foliage and fruiting system and quickly deposit the shredded material along the edges of the inter-rows. Mulching the under-row of the vineyard offers several benefits: it creates a fertilizing effect according to the type of shredded product, creates a microclimate that improves the moisture around the plant roots, covers the soil with organic material that prevents the spread of weeds and reduces the need for repetitive and harmful chemical weeding. The T-Win model can be combined with tractors with power ranging from 50 to 100 Hp. Available sizes: 1.20 - 1.35 - 1.50 - 1.65 - 1.80 meters with weights ranging from 460 to 630 kg.
