Tenagri, integrated solutions for horse breeders
The Romagnola company can vaunt a wide range of products to meet the needs of livestock raisers but Tenagri's leading items are in the range of cereal crackers to be expanded with the arrival in the near future of the Q10 model capable of working 1.2 tons of grain with the power requirement of only 4kW
Tenagri was established in 1987 in Mercato Saraceno at the foot of the Forli' Apenines and in recent years has been forced to come to terms with an insidious situation which has nothing to do with heated competition on the market, commercial strategy planning, marketing policy or any product in and of itself. Problems arose, as Mauro Ravioli explained to Mondo Macchina/Machinery World, out of a misunderstanding by force majeure around the name of the company. Ravaioli, in the Tenagri technical department, said, "We are specialized in the production of machinery for the equine sector so when we began operations in the district we chose the name Equitalia, an abbreviation of Equestrian Italy, which we believed would be a good calling card for our customers. But problems began about ten years ago with the creation of a company with the same name for collecting taxes. Since then, misunderstandings occurred daily and up until a short time ago we have been taken for what we are not, tax collectors!" The Forli' company, in spite of holding Equitalia as a registered trademark, has been attempting to make their side of the issue prevail but has been forced to use the name Tenagri to avoid confusion. "From time to time someone still telephones us for fiscal issues, however we have been able to clarify our activities," the technician added. For their part, the Forli' stable insists that crackers for horse feed could not be more distant from fiscal matters. Ravioli said, in the meantime, that their specific machines are built mainly for export for feeding cattle and horses through the use of a machine with mills integrated for cracking grain for the production of high quality feed at lowered costs. The cracker designed and built by Tenagri features reliability, good ergonomics and low noise emissions and is easy to operate. Also warmly welcomed as far away as Australia, where the Mercato Saraceno company has a consolidated presence, is the work capacity coupled with the varieties of cereal grain types – barley, oats and fodder corn to name a few – which can be turned out steadily and independently of impurities in the raw materials. For their crackers, which can already claim an excellent price/quality ratio, Tenagri is promising that they will become even more competitive and advantageous with the arrival of the Q10 model on the market. The new machine coming up for an imminent launch is built around an innovation patented by the Romagnola company thanks to which the cracker is capable of producing as much as 1.2 tons of grain with a power requirement of only 4 kW. Though the Q10 is expected to become the flagship model, the Tenagri range extends to a solarium for horses, merry-go-rounds, electric and steel fencing and feed and water trough stable furnishings. In other words, the Tenagri catalogue is laid out to meet all the needs of horse breeders from feed to transport trailers, steeple chase obstacles and pony games, all products developed and created by the technical department, spoken of by Ravaioli as, "The real heart of the company, the nerve center where professionals and skills in various areas come together for the shared purpose of studying solutions aimed at the simplification of work instruments. This makes it possible for us to put out a full field offer while heightening our competitiveness on global markets," he added.
