Annovi Aldo: an innovative system for cereal storage
Energy saving and cost limitation, optimum conservation of the product without the need for chemical and sanitary treatment, and efficiency. These are the main strong points of the versatile cereal storage systems produced by Aldo Annovi which, after its official launch last February at Fieragricola (see MondoMacchina No. 2), is being presented to the general public at the Bologna show. "Compared to traditional systems, our has the great advantage of lower running costs and the fact that it is decidedly more flexible because - as the owners of the company, Luigi and Paolo Annovi, explain to Mondo Macchina - it can be set up directly on site in just a few, simple operations, according to the operator's actual storage requirements". The system perfected by the company from Corlo di Formigine (Modena) involves storage of the product by a bagger in a heat-sealed, extruded polyethylene tunnel, white on the outside (to reflect the sun's rays) and black on the inside to prevent light from filtering in. It is therefore a fast, relatively low cost procedure, also because the bagger, thanks to an innovative loading system with a ground level front hopper, can be fed using any type of agricultural trailer, truck or shovel without the need for an elevator. Power absorption is also very low, as the product is carried through the screw feeders for a distance of just 130 centimetres, and maximum performance in terms of savings and silobag filling speed (2,000 tons per hour) can be achieved using a 50/60 HP tractor. There is also another thing to be taken into consideration: the Aldo Annovi storage system does not require any type of building permit or authorisation, as the bags can be positioned on agricultural land (even stubble) provided there is no build-up of water. As regards conservation of the product, it uses a vacuum system that requires no treatment against harmful agents such as mould, parasites, insects, and is therefore particularly suitable for "bio" crops.
