Nardi: the important innovation on the Regina series
Rendez-vous in Hanover with the new version of the “Regina” range produced by Nardi, a line of mechanical seeders that constitute a “historic” product of the Italian company, which now has important updates. The most significant innovation that distinguishes the new Regina from its previous version regards the chassis, completely redesigned to optimize the distribution of the elements and thus avoid excessively narrow spaces between rows, thereby enabling the application to work on difficult terrain or in the presence of residues. Moreover, thanks to the changes made to the chassis, the sowing accuracy on sloping soils is significantly improved, without affecting the balance between the application and the tractor. In terms of sowing accuracy, the company from Umbria has managed to increase it by eliminating the adjustment lever and inserting an innovative axial control system designed to repeat calibrations and doses. Meanwhile, to facilitate the adjustment of the load applicable to the single furrow opener, Nardi designers decided to harmonize the support of the concave disc, boot and plane disc furrow openers with the torsion spring square anchor one. The redesign by the Perugia company also involved the distributor box, which now has an updated geometry and constructive architecture, thanks to which it is possible not only to dose seeds with very different sizes without causing them to break, but also to optimize the filling of the cavity and, therefore, the passage of the seed from the hopper to the box. No less important is the replacement of the spillway control system with a device that allows a continuous adjustment and an adaptation to the type of seed, thus preventing problems of leakage or flooding. Equipped with furrow openers arranged in three rows, the new Regina series is available in a single seed version and in the seed-fertilizer version with folding partition; on towed models, the seed depth adjustment is manual and centralized.
