Aerator-decompactor, a new product by Gramegna
At Agritechnica 2017, Gramegna will be previewing a new application for soil processing, whose patent is being recorded these very weeks. The commercial director of the firm, Massimo Gramegna, explains to Mondo Macchina that “this is a machine designed to aerate and decompact the soil, with a model developed from a digging machine, but with some fundamental modifications”. First of all, the tools are made of steel blades with a curved profile, arranged longitudinally to allow the tool to slit the ground to a depth of 20-22 cm with microgrooves (also arranged longitudinally) 22 cm from each other. “This kind of processing - continues Gramegna - promotes soil permeability and oxygenation, absorption of nutrients, increased microbial activity, but without damaging or altering the superficial grass layer”. These features make the new model an ideal work tool in the agricultural field - for example, for permanent crops requiring soil decompacting - and in landscaping, for the surface processing of sports fields, golf courses and green areas in general. In addition, replacing the blades with spades, Gramegna’s new offering can be used as a digging machine to process the ground up to 30 cm deep. For its new aerator- decompactor, the company from Lombardy has designed seven different versions with widths ranging from a minimum of 1.10 to a maximum of 2.5 metres. The power draw, on the other hand, ranges from 40 to 90 horsepower.
