Tonutti and Blasi: a combination strengthening Made in Italy in the world
An accord signed by Carlo Tonutti, the president of the enterprise with the Tonutti and Wolagri brand names, and Luigi Blasi, with the brands Bargam, Projet, Oma, Rimeco, Agricom and Protek, marks an important new group in agricultural mechanization positioned to play a front rank role in the sector in Italy and abroad. The two industries vaunt a long and successful history in Made in Italy agricultural machinery and are now prepared to market a full line of products to meeting a wide range of requirements. Carlo Tonutti affirmed, “With this agreement, our distribution network has reached a considerable grassroots capability that enables us to have even greater impact in our marketing and product range policies. Our industrial aggregation project has taken another step forward and has strengthened our position on the international markets, fostered and increased our cross-selling abilities, enabled the group to grow and has given us a complete and excellent product line.” These products now range from mist blowers and pollinators to sprayers, mowers, self-propelled rakes and on to round balers, harvesters, bale wrappers and components. Luigi Blasi commented, “Taking part in Tonutti Wolagri is the result of sharing the intentions of its president, Carlo Tonutti, and will lead to important industrial and commercial synergies, advantages in the research and development of new products and new technologies.” He added, “In this situation of a severe world crisis, our strong point was the fact that the companies did not deviate from the emergency, but rather, to use the crisis lever as an accelerator for growth projects” and affirmed that this growth “will continue with more acquisitions or mergers in order to further broaden the product range and strengthen the market presence.” The numbers of the new group are a workforce of 500 employed in five branch operations around the world and seven manufacturing plants located in Imola, near Bologna, Remanzacco, near Udine, Jesi, near Ancona, Manduria, near Taranto, Suzzara, near Mantua, Memphis, in the United States, and Krasnokamsk in Russia for a total of 85,000 m² of production facilities.
