The LaCruz stump eradicator cuts working times
The LaCruz stump remover is designed to uproot stumps from the ground in row crops and leave them on the ground already cleaned. The machine – explains the manufacturer from Oderzo (Treviso) in a technical note – cuts working time compared to other uprooting methods and can be combined with both tracked and rubber-tired tractors. The movement of the tractor allows the harrows and blades of the uprooter to move portions of soil, while the oscillating bars and rotors help to extract the stumps which are then left on the ground. The soil is left uniform after the extraction by the uprooter, facilitating its restoration and preparation for new sowing. The extracted roots and stumps can be collected and then stacked for recycling and biomass production.
They can be loaded onto heavy vehicles or shredded directly in the field to make them usable immediately. The Veneto-based company's stump extractor can be equipped with the rewinding device called AV00LC for vineyards and other types of row crops, allowing the stumps to be extracted from the ground and drip irrigation tubing to be recovered in a single pass.
The reel is driven by a hydraulic motor that retrieves and rolls the hose into a reel that is easily removable at the end of the operation. These reels can be stored in the warehouse, ready for reuse the following season.
