Cleangrape destemmer, a machine for delicate processing

The Cleangrape destemmer is a grape sorting system designed by the Treviso-based company LaCruz (a company based in Oderzo, specialized in viticulture technologies) with the aim of ensuring maximum cleaning of the product without damaging it and without compromising its quality. Thanks to the innovative technology of the catenary and the particular constructive architecture of the stemmer, must and grapes are quickly separated (the speed of the catenary can be adjusted independently of the feed speed), so only stalks, leaves and shoots are conveyed into the stemming chamber. It is here, and not in the sorting catenary, that the residues are crushed and eliminated. “The helical rotor has shaped ends - explains the Venetian company with a technical note - made of deformable technopolymer, which handle the grapes very delicately even at high speeds and in high production situations. The rotor speed, as well as the angle of the shaped ends, can be easily set by the operator to adapt them to the characteristics of the product”. On the other hand, the frame of the stemmer (durable and sturdy) has been designed by LaCruz to offer the maximum possible compatibility with a wide range of grape harvesters. The other strengths of the Cleangrape application include the ease of assembly, cleaning and maintenance of the machine, the production of must reduced to a minimum, the possibility of equipping the application with a wide-mesh catenary to support the most intense production paces and finally the availability of a larger version.
