The adaptability of the Rotago F power harrow
The growing focus on environmental sustainability, combined with the necessary reduction of operating costs, has led Kverneland to develop a new generation of power harrows: the Rotago F series models in Isobus and non-Isobus versions. Both versions, with working widths between 4 and 6 meters, offer highly precise adjustments of the levelling bar and working depth while the machine is working, adapting it to the changing morphology of the soil. In traditional systems, the working depth adjustment is almost always kept in the same position throughout the entire plot of land, even though the soil types often differ from each other. The new Rotago F offers the operator the ability to vary the working depth directly from the tractor cab using the hydraulic distributors in the case of the basic machine or via the Kverneland Tellus Pro/Tellus Go+ monitors in the case of the Isobus version, as well as with the tractor monitors. Precision in depth regulation becomes strategic since each centimeter of depth worked corresponds to 140 tons of soil moved per hectare. Furthermore, Kverneland points out, the precision in the regulation will also reduce the amount of CO2 released. The patented depth adjustment system with "pushed" gear case ensures perpendicular depth adjustment with no need to further adjust the tractor's 3rd point or rear roller. A parallelogram ensures that the harrow's gear cases always remain parallel to the ground. These can also be lifted independently from the leveling bar. All these adjustments can be monitored with electronic sensors to protect the organs from overloads. The gear cases of the new Rotago F are self-supporting but still lighter, with the advantage of being able to reduce the power used. Kverneland points out that the Rotago F is ideally matched with the new CB-F coulter bars and the new f-drill front hopper. The exclusive coupling system allows for quick release of the entire sowing apparatus. For better balance in difficult conditions and/or road transport a special pivot wheel will support the harrow increasing its safety. It will not be necessary to disconnect the third point.
