SQ Sandspreaders: precise and uniform
The Sandqueen sandspreader is a brush spreader, designed and built by Selvatici located in San Lazzaro di Savena, near Bologna, for the precise and uniform distribution of sand, peat, soil and other granular materials on topsoil. There are four models in Selvatici series of these machines ranging from the compacts SQ 300 and SQ 430, with hopper capacities of 300 and 450 liters, up to the SQ 1000 and SQ 2000, with capacities of 1,000 and 2,000 liters at the top. The two compact models are small self-propelled spreaders equipped with hydrostatic transmissions and PLC (programmable logic controller) for precision and safety in operation to meet growing demand for professional equipment for the maintenance of parks and gardens. The SQ 300 and SQ 430 machines are ideal for areas difficult to access and especially for working easily small areas of greenery which include such obstacles as hedges, bushes and other plants thanks to their compact build. The SQ 1000 and SQ 2000 models, on the other hand, are intended for operations on all types of surfaces in that they were developed through a complicated procedure of technical planning, as a communique issued by the manufacturer explained. Unlike the compact models, these two machines are towed and the carpet brush hopper and rotation of the brush – made of an anti-abrasive material ensuring perfect uniformity of the spill – are controlled by an auxiliary tractor hydraulic pump. The SQ 1000 and SQ 2000 sandspreaders are also equipped with a rear flow control system allowing the precise release of the material for spreading and, with the use of a rear lever, the length of distribution and crushing of the material is regulated by changing the angle of the brush on the material distributed. Aeroking aerator included in Selvatici range presented.
