SAER L series, heavy duty pumps

A range of pumps designed for applications not only in the civil or industrial sector - where very high operating temperatures are usually reached - but also in the agricultural sector. We are talking about the L series, one latest product lines from SAER Elettropompe, a Emilia company based in Guastalla. Thanks to the stainless steel shaft and to the pressure components made of ductile iron, the L series pumps (there are more than 170 models in the catalogue) are able to tackle the most demanding processes in contact with liquids up to 140°. The available “sizes” start from DN 32 to reach DN 150, with a power range from a minimum of 0.18 to a maximum of 90 kW (two and four poles). But the real highlight of this product line is the hydraulic efficiency (most of the pumps of the L series have an MEI of 0.7) as well as the electric one. The latter is made possible by the innovative IE3 version produced by SAER, but IE4 motors are available on request. Also on request - we read in a technical note from the Emilian company, the L pumps can be equipped with a VFD on the motor (L-IVE version). The frequency converter (i.e. the inverter), explains the manufacturer, adjusts the rotation speed of the driver, modifying the pump performance to suit the conditions of use. The solution adopted by the L-IVE versions is very beneficial in terms of both consumption and component life. The impellers are available in both cast iron and marine bronze and AISI 316 stainless steel, but in any case - the manufacturer emphasizes - they always stand out for their durability. Available with a monobloc set-up (up to DN 65 models) or with a rigid coupling (starting from DN 80), the L range models can be installed in a horizontal or vertical position and can be equipped with height-adjustable bases that support the weight of the pump, thus limiting the stress on the pipes.
