Agrimaxfactor, by BKT: new tyres ready for electric tractors
Stability and ease of use when manoeuvring are the main features of the new tractor tyre, Agrimaxfactor, by BKT, presented at the last EIMA International. The tread design has been created by the Indian company's designers using directions received from the market. From a technical point of view, the main innovations concerned the crampons, which now have an increased length, a modified orientation and a reduced angle.
All these improvements - reads a company note - result in a smoother impact on the road and a significant reduction in cabin noise.
Stability and quick steering response, even when moving at high speed or used in heavy work, are made possible by a sturdy body, consisting of six belts and four layers, made of polyester (replacing nylon).
Agrimaxfactor is also an 'E-READY' tyre (as indicated by the eponymous logo on the casing), i.e. compatible with electrically-powered vehicles, which require different technologies than conventional tyres.
The models intended to equip electric vehicles - explains the Indian manufacturer - must support a greater load (that of battery packs) and handle a higher torque than vehicles with a combustion engine. This is why BKT had to redesign its 'E-READY' tyres using new compounds and adopting a specific design, modelled precisely on the specific needs of electric mobility.
