Pezzolato, innovative technologies for chipped wood
The team from Envie (Cuneo), is present at the Eima International event with all its flagship products. The spotlight is first of all on the PTH All Road model, a self-propelled drum chipper, equipped with a crane for the loading of timber and a cabin from which the operator can manage all the machine's functions both in the movement phase and chipping (crane and cabin can shift towards the supply side in order to expand the working area with the cabin lifting up). As for the propulsion system, Pezzolato has chosen a diesel Stage IV with EGR system (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction – Ad-Blue); while the engine, the on-board equipment and the hydrostatic transmission control for the shifting are connected by means of CAN-BUS (Controller Area Network), with operative parameters being recorded in the Black Box. Characterized by a good off-road mobility – thanks to its oversized tyres, 4X4 traction, three steering modalities and a charming design, the PTH All Road is available with a collapsible counter-blade and a ventilator for wood chips expulsion (with hydraulic operating system and variable speed control). In the Pezzolato stand, in evidence is also the Gruppo Di Taglio 1000 with a 20kW electric engine, designed to cut any type of trunk with diameter up to one meter. The machine is formed by a six meters feeding belt and a chainsaw with oscillating support for the fixing of the cutting plank (during the operational phase the trunk is locked by a double-locking hydraulic drive system) and can reach different cutting lenghts from 20 to 50 cm. Among other products of the Pezzolato range, is finally to mention the device for the pre-treatment of wood chips, the EPG series – a system for the storage, drying and preparation of wood chips for biomass CHP (Combined Heat and Power) plants. It stands out for its small size, compatible with that of a container, that allows to place it outside farms and industrial buildings.
