Mulchers: Bertis latest generation
The Berti Macchine Agricole exhibition area at Agritechnica 2017, will spotlight the Forest Pro, a forestry mulcher equipped with double transmission and fixed hammers. Forest Pro, designed to mulch uncultivated vegetation, brunches, and trunks with a maximum diameter of 50 cm, it is going to be unveiled in Hanover. It can be combined with tractors of 180 to 300 horsepower and it is built with special and resistant steels (Hardox anti-wear clasps, double chassis built in Strenx and Hardox, a gearbox orientation system to the tractor’s power take-off). Always in the mulchers segment, highlights are on the BF/ S model for vineyard and orchard for low power tractors (from 40 to 80 Hp). A machine - the builder explains with a note - designed for mulching grass, bushes and pruning up to 4-5 cm, and able to
work under the canopy (its low-profile chassis allows to work 47 cm from the ground). Equipped with a Strenx chassis - which guarantees stability and low weight - the BF/S mulcher has a rounded, flanked sidewall without protrusions (so the vegetation is not dragged when in motion) and with a hydraulic displacement system with parallelogram arm. Thanks to this technology, the application
can work beyond the tractor track. Berti’s other novelties for Agritechnica include the XPRO reinforced and reversible mulcher with a power requirement from 100 to 250 horsepower. Recommended for processing grass, straw, plant residues, bushes, maize stalks, twigs, and wood residue with diameters up to 10 cm, the XPRO washer was designed by the company from Verona, for maintaining idle land, green areas set-asides. The standard equipment includes the automatic belt tensioner (to easy the machine maintenance and to ensure greater working efficiencies), and the Strenx double case (to add both lightness and strength). Also standard is the expanded rotor, and the limited opening device of the rear bonnet, in line with current safety standards.
