High-tech novelties presented by Nobil
Sprayers and shredders in Nobili's bag of new items at EIMA include the H-Fan: a 1,000-liter trailed sprayer equipped with a hydraulically operated fan applied to a height-adjustable translation system with a 700 mm stroke and a diaphragm pump located on the steering drawbar, that connects solidly to the tractor's power lift. The fan's hydraulic motor is in line with the fan and replaces the traditional two-speed mechanical multiplier group. The electronic control of the hydraulic system makes it possible to continuously adjust the fan rotation speed in a range between 0 and 1,800 rpm, without changing the tractor engine speed. The hydraulic drive eliminates the positioning rigidity due to the mechanical transmission, making it possible to have a different position of the spraying group or vary its position continuously. Furthermore, it is possible to reverse the direction of rotation of the impeller to allow for automatic cleaning of leaves and plant residues that often obstruct the suction section of the fan. The pump, operated via a power take-off, has been placed on the part of the steering drawbar that connects to the tractor's power lift, so that the alignment of its drive shaft is constant, regardless of the steering angle. Furthermore, the drive shaft is significantly reduced in size – due to the fact that the transmitted torque is considerably lower than the traditional set-up – while working in a constant position limits its wear and tear. The machine is equipped with an ISOBUS control system which makes it possible to control the fan rotation speed and the spraying at the same time. This project combines different technical concepts and technologies in a single vineyard and orchard sprayer, making it an innovative solution for the sector. The innovative technical aspects of the speed and height adjustable hydraulic fan, combined with the diaphragm pump that connects with the part of the drawbar on the tractor power lift, bring notable advantages especially for those companies and/or contractors who are looking for multi-purpose machines, capable of adapting to different planting distances and/or crop heights.
Other new sprayers from Nobili being presented include the FF PRO multi-row straddle head which can also be mounted on 3,000-liter tanks, thereby increasing the treated surface area with a single filling (covering 3 complete rows of plants with a single pass). The innovative 503 impeller and its conveyor provide for the same air distribution to all the nozzles positioned on independently powered sprayheads, rendering the treatments across the entire leaf wall of the different sides uniform. The head movements allow the sprayheads to be opened and closed even inside the rows, easily crossing heights of 2.4 m without leaving the rows themselves and avoiding dangerous obstacles or ones that could slow down the work (light poles in the center of the row). The three vertical sprayheads are mounted on telescopic arms which make it possible to treat vineyard systems with inter-row widths of up to 3.5 m and plant walls of up to 2.5 m, on three complete rows. The FF PRO head is available with 1.000, 1.500, 2.000 and 3.000 liter tanks, both in the pneumatic version (VENTIS) and in the version with high pressure pump and jets mounted outside the airstream (OKTOPUS).
Mulchers: in this segment the company from Molinella (BO) presents its new generation of BVL 100 series high-capacity mulchers, specialized for shredding grass and pruning in vineyards and orchards, and equipped with a large front opening ideal for large pruning volumes. Robust and reliable, with a design and technical features similar to the BV 100 series, the BVL models are distinguished by their high lateral displacement (up to 150 centimeters), achieved by the combination of a large hydraulic displacement and a second off-center attachment on the tiller. Built with a high-strength steel frame and a low, rounded profile with no protrusions, BVL 100 series mulchers are equipped with heavy hammers, three counter-knives, a roller with removable bottoms for adjusting the cutting height, support skids and have the option of fitting collection teeth for optimal shredding of pruned material. The new SDS 102 series mulcher, the latest creation for mulching grass, cover crops and crops in vineyards and orchards, will also make its debut at EIMA. Available in various working widths between 150 and 210 cm with single and bilateral unloading and with the new option of also having a front-mounted version – with or without independent hydraulic system – the SDS 102 series makes it possible to mulch the under-canopy and clean the inter-row at the same time, allowing the machine to process large quantities of material and bring it to the base of the plants in a single pass. The SDS shredders rest on a roller with removable bottoms, which regulate the working height and are equipped with hydraulic speed adjustment of the augers to adapt the biomass flow rate to the speed of the tractor and the volume of the material to be shredded.
