Emak: shoulder-mounted brush cutters's are lighter than ever
Emak is launching its new professional gas-powered brushcutters under the Efco and Oleo-Mac brands as part of the 54 line series. The top-of-the-range shoulder-mounted tools have been designed by technicians from the Bagnolo in Piano (Reggio Emilia) company for intensive work, such as clearing brush and shrubs, or cleaning roadsides. The new models come in 4 versions: the Efco DS 5400 S and Oleo-Mac BC 540 S with a single handle, Efco DS 5400 T and Oleo-Mac BC 540 T with a handlebar handle, the Efco DS 5400 Boss and Oleo-Mac BC 540 Master with a handlebar handle and with an advanced 4-spring anti-vibration system, which provides significant reduction in the vibrations transmitted to the operator. Finally, the Efco DSF 5400 and Oleo-Mac BCF 540 have a professional double harness built into the ergonomic backpack, which in turn features height-adjustable shoulder straps and lumbar support made of breathable material. One of the strong points of the new line is the reduced weight of the brushcutters. The manufacturer has in fact made some components such as the hollow transmission rod and the magnesium engine crankcase lighter, with the aim of improving performance and reducing the weight of the machine on the operator. The stone guard, with its essential and modern design, has also been lightened at the front to improve the operator's visibility both on rough terrain and when in thick grass. All models are equipped with the professional three-toothed disc specifically for clearing undergrowth.
