The operational autonomy of the Faresin electric mixer wagon
After its international presentation at Agritechnica 2023, the self-propelled mixer wagon Leader PF Full Electric played a starring role on the Faresin stand in Verona, during the last edition of Fieragricola. The new model, with a capacity of 14 cubic metres, is equipped with a vertical auger and is particularly suitable for farms that produce electricity through photovoltaic or cogeneration plants. A 91 kW and 210 Ah lithium-iron-phosphate battery is installed in the rear engine compartment, integrated with Farmatics telematics for remote control, which provides - reads a note released by the manufacturer – a level of performance similar to machines with internal combustion. The working autonomy allows the operator to complete at least one day's work on a medium-sized farm. Traction power is provided by a 51 kW electric motor positioned in the rear axle, which also transmits motion to the front axle via a cardan shaft. Two gears allow the vehicle to move with a maximum speed of 20 km/h, while a plug-in interface - the Universal Charge system - presides over battery recharging, with times ranging from 2 to 4 hours. In addition, the Leader PF mixer wagon is equipped with a system for recovering energy (during braking and when releasing the accelerator) which is stored, further extending the vehicle's operating range. Like the version with an internal combustion engine, the Leader PF Full Electric is equipped with four drive wheels, steering which allows three types of steering (concentric, crab-steering or front-only), and hydropneumatic suspension, adjustable in height via a control in the cab.
Faresin's engineers have equipped the machine with a 2 metre wide auger, driven by a 45 kW electric motor to allow independent loading of the various components of the ration. A second 40 kW electric motor supplies the auger with the necessary power to process all types of mixture.
