The new wheel patented by Nardi

At EIMA International, the exhibition space of the Nardi Group - an Umbrian company based in Selci Lama, in the province of Perugia - is showcasing a new model of hydraulically adjustable reversible wheel. The component, covered by a patent of the Umbrian manufacturer, is controlled by means of a special jack that, in turn, is directly connected to the jack of the hydraulic variation. The wheel designed by the Nardi Group is independent of the movements of the seats, as there is no deflection system. The constructive solution adopted by the Umbrian company is particularly beneficial not only because it has made it possible to eliminate a device - the deflection - that is easily subject to mechanical stress, especially when transporting the machine, but also because it allows the caster to be moved to any point on the chassis. In this way, explains the Selci Lama-based company, it will be possible to significantly improve the operation of the working bodies, but without modifying or adding any special bars. The caster is equipped with a linkage system regulated by a hydraulic cylinder, through which it is possible to set the desired working depth and operate at different depths between one pass and the next, to the right as well as to the left.
