The new models broaden the Fendt range
The new Fendt 900 Vario tractor series, available in five models (930, 933, 936, 939 and 942 Vario), covers the power range between 296 and 415 Hp, completing the range between the Fendt 800 Vario models and the 1000 Vario models. With the new flagship Fendt 942 Vario, the 900 series exceeds 400 Hp for the first time. The low weight of only 11.7 tonnes and the integrated pressure adjustment system of the VarioGrip tyres makes the 900 Vario line machines ideal tools for operations with low ground pressure and high traction power. The engine system is equipped with a 6-cylinder Man combined with the corresponding Fendt VarioDrive TA300 gearbox with a nominal speed of just 1,700 rpm, and in the flagship Fendt 942 Vario, the maximum torque of 1,970 Nm is only at 1,100 rpm. Thanks to the new transmission, the torque is distributed dynamically on the front and rear axle depending on the conditions of the terrain, and thanks to the “pull-in turn” effect it pulls the tractor in a curve. The result is a low turning radius with maximum traction force. The technological equipment of the new Vario 900 is also high-profile, with Fendt Connect which allows all the tractor operating parameters to be kept under remote control, thus optimizing their use. Thanks to Smart Connect, the operator can view a wide range of parameters that provide a complete overview of the vehicle’s operating data. The innovations at Fendt do not end here, because the manufacturer presents a new model of 300 series, Vario 314 at Agritechnica, now implemented with DynamicPerformance (DP) technology that delivers 10 additional hp as needed, based on the tractor’s working needs. The system is not linked to driving speeds or to the type of use, but works in a purely dynamic manner. Power is distributed over numerous elements, such as the power take-off, hydraulic system, engine fans and climate control system, and the system detects when some components require more power and makes it available in an intelligent way. DynamicPerformance also comes into play in jobs that involve the power take-off while at a standstill, such as in the mixer wagon or in the mixing of wastewater and biogas plants. These are the characteristics that make the Fendt 314 Vario a compact, light and manoeuvrable vehicle, but which, in case of need, can also cover a higher power requirement. Finally, in the combine-harvester segment Fendt has expanded the Ideal range with the 790-horsepower Ideal 10 model. Particular attention was paid to efficiency, product quality and reliability. Powered by a new Man 16.2 L, Ideal 10 complies with the Stage V phase of the European emission standard and is presented with the innovative Ideal Drive technology, a steering system without steering wheel. Thanks to Ideal Drive, the machine is controlled with the movement of a joystick on the left, while the joystick functions of the right armrest remain unchanged. The left armrest can be folded upwards for easy access to the driver’s seat. The cleaning system is also new, in combination with the Dual Helix device (the rotor is one of the most durable on the market, with a length of 4.84 metres and a diameter of 600 mm): productivity, quality and yields benefit from it, with minimal losses.
