Teknoax, the high technology of the new ADR axis
Teknoax is the name of the latest addition to the ADR brand. It is a latest-generation axis designed to offer farm machines the greatest possible strength in different conditions of use. Teknoax marks the debut of highly innovative technological solutions starting from the integral body, a tubular body block with integrated stub axles that ensures a distribution of the stress throughout the structure. The Teknoax stub axles are obtained by hot plastic deformation from the axle body, with the dual advantage of eliminating the main cause of fatigue fracture and locally roughen the material increasing its hardness at the seats of the bearings. Smart fit is the particular cold shaping of the square section of the axle body, which increases the flexural strength and allows coupling to the suspensions without welding the supports. In this way, the payload of the vehicle can be increased and, in idle gear, both the fuel consumption of the tractor and the wear of the tyres are reduced. Air spindle is a newly designed stub equipped with a low projection hub. The solution adopted by ADR, in addition to offering greater resistance to peak loads of heavy duty machines, allows the use of wheels without offset even when the tyres are of significant size. Strain-flow is a system of distribution of the stresses in the connecting zone of the stub axle to the axle body, which optimizes the mass of the axle body and eases the implementation of tyre inflation systems. Clever-seal is a lubrication device based on box-type seals, which ensure optimum lubrication of the bearings of the hub, prevent pollution of the lubricant by external agents, and eases maintenance. Spin-just is a system of hub bearing preload adjustment for adjusting the bearing play with an accuracy of one hundredth of a millimetre, prolonging the life cycle and making maintenance less costly. Finally E-brain is the electronic traceability system for Teknoax products that contains sensitive data of the axle, functional to the scheduled maintenance of the vehicle and the identification of the components for the technical support and the availability of original spare parts.
