Tandem 500SP, the versatility of the new harrow from Dante macchine
Dante macchine agricole, which has been designing and manufacturing tillage applications since the 1960s, is presenting the Tandem 500SP harrow combined with the Borea seed drill in Bologna. The new harrow was specifically designed by the Padua-based company, based in Bagnoli di Sopra, to work on farms that favour minimum tillage and economic and environmental sustainability. Among the strengths of Dante's latest agricultural machinery are the frame made of certified high quality steel and the 510 millimetre discs connected on SKF mounts with multiple cassette seals. The springs that connect the discs to the frame offer significant elasticity, but also great strength, with a maximum load per spring of 700 kilogrammes. This elasticity allows the soil to be worked even in the presence of considerable amounts of residue, because the vibrations produced by the springs keep the disc clean. The 600 millimetre packer roller, located at the rear, has several functions. It not only serves as a support for the machine, giving it particularly stable characteristics, but can also be used to prepare the seed bed thanks to its weight and the specific design of the sections. Dante's agricultural machinery technicians, keen to seize the opportunities offered by precision farming, are proposing the new Borea seed drill in combination with the Tandem 500SP, which allows data exchange with the tractor thanks to ISOBUS technology.
