Nuova Spartan 700 is the name of the cutting bar that Capello, a Cuneo-based company that has been designing and producing grain harvesting heads since 1965, presents as its main innovation at Agritechnica 2019. Created to meet the need on the market to have increasingly powerful and durable devices, the Spartan 700 is larger than the 520 and 610 models, with 16 rotating in-line discs and one-sided motion for an integral harvest and reduced waste in the field. The bar can be used on all the most modern self-propelled forage harvesters, and is equipped with a large diameter feeding auger which, with a simple and functional oscillating system, allows a regular flow of material for all types of product, especially in difficult conditions. In addition to the harvesting of medium and large height forage for dairy cows, the Spartan 700 is also ideal for harvesting biogas crops thanks to the final uniform product, which improves the biomass nitrogen production. Starting from aeronautical-derived materials characterized by high mechanical performance and durability, the Capello research and development department devised a new gear transmission line capable of supporting the operational power of corn harvesting heads with 10/12 rows, ensuring optimized yields and low noise. In Hanover, the Piedmontese company, which established a presence in Germany this year with a branch in Warstein (Capello Deutschland) for a more direct contact with customers in the country, also presents a wide range of other products.  Diamant, for corn harvesting, with reinforced polyethylene body and transmissions able to withstand high power; Quasar, also for corn, in production for 19 years but perfectly able to meet current production needs; Grain System Evo, a folding harvesting bar for grains, characterized by harvesting flexibility, which allows safe movement on the road also thanks to the excellent visibility from the control cabin; the aforementioned Spartan, a direct cut head that can be adapted to all models of forage shredders, reliable and usable for low, high or bedded forage; and lastly, Helianthus for sunflower harvesting, which offers high performance and is used in many fields in Eastern Europe.
