SPARGO SB, the endurance that farmer's need
BKT's AGRIMAX SPARGO tire series is designed to equip tractors operating on steep terrain and narrow inter-row areas. The series now includes the AGRIMAX SPARGO SB model, which further expands BKT product range of tires for open-field spraying and row crops, such as orchards and vineyards. The tire manufatured by the India-based company is equipped with steel belts and stands out both for its greater tread depth and thinner blocks, which grant it a more open and elevated design. This configuration – states the Mumbai company – ensures optimal handling on the road and a “D” speed classification (up to 65 km/h). Advantages of the SPARGO SB include its double-layer mud expulsion system, designed to effectively eliminate debris from the tread and to quickly move from the field to the asphalt without dirt or mud build up. The use of steel belts in the structure improves the performance of the tire and stabilizes the ride, especially at high speeds. The belts also offer greater resistance to punctures, protecting the tire from debris and sharp objects present on the road and in the field, thus reducing the risk of vehicle downtime and consequently saving on maintenance costs. This solution, combined with the polyester casing, better distributes internal stresses, limiting irregular wear and prolonging tread life. Furthermore, the reinforced structure helps maintain the tire's optimal shape under load, improving – BKT claims – rolling efficiency and contributing to reducing fuel consumption.
