Simol range: parking jacks compliant with ISO 12140
At the Bologna event, Simol of Codisotto di Luzzara (Reggio Emilia) offers a complete range of parking jacks - the DGI series - compliant with the ISO 12140 standard. “The ISO 12140 standard for agricultural machinery, agricultural trailers and towed equipment - Simol technicians explain in a note - is applied to hydraulically or mechanically operated telescopic feet, used to support and lift. In this market segment, the standard aims to define the technical terminology, indicate the functional, safety and reliability requirements, list the data required for the marking, establish the test procedures for the compliance certifications and specify the assembly information, use, inspection and maintenance of the components. In short, the goal is to establish shared procedures and practices to guarantee the quality of the final product”. The company from Emilia was among the first to adapt to the new standards and thus create a line of parking jacks compliant with ISO 12140. The design and production of the new range required specific tests of mechanical strength, reliability and functionality, conducted through a special test bench developed by the Reggio company in collaboration with the University of Bologna. “We want to bring our products to a higher level of reliability and performance and to do so - we read in the note from Simol - we always invest in research and development, because we are convinced that this is the main way to gain competitiveness, in Italy and on the international markets”.
