SAME focuses on specialized tractors and utilities
SAME, the historic Italian brand from Treviglio, came to Agritechnica 2019 to focus the visitor’s attention on its ranges of vineyard and orchard tractors, as well as on multifunctional models for the open field and working in the farmstead. The active suspension of the front axle with independent wheels, the innovative continuously variable transmission, the new MaxCom armrest, the ISOBUS functions and a completely redesigned cab represent a package of innovations that clearly testify to the technological level of the machines on display.
The well-established FARMotion engine, designed specifically for agricultural applications, and the modular hydraulic system, with an on-demand 100 l/min Load Sensing pump (at just 1,850 engine rpm), also strengthen the standard equipment of the SAME specialized tractors. At the German show, the Bergamo brand presented its three leading models among the specialized tractors, all of which make use of the CVT continuously variable transmission specifically developed by SDF for vineyards and orchards. In addition to the extreme compactness of the assembly and the great reliability, SDF’s CVT is also characterized by efficiency and driving comfort.
The award-winning Frutteto 115 CVT S ActiveDrive, selected as “Best Specialized” at the Tractor of the Year 2019 stands out for its compactness and agility. The Frutteto 105 CVT ActiveDrive represents not only the machine offered by SAME for the wider rows, but also a solution able to juggle without hesitations in open field work, therefore ideal for farms with a dual production direction.
SAME has also put on display the top of the range of specialized tractors, namely the Frutteto CVT 100 ActiveSteer, specialized with 4 steering wheels. This is a technological solution that considerably increases the machine’s manoeuvrability, reducing the turning radius by up to 28% compared to a tractor of the same size. ActiveSteer technology is also useful for increasing safety on sloping terrain, allowing the inclination of the rear wheels to be adjusted to compensate for the rear axle slipping downhill.
In the utility segment, the SAME brand brought its two bestsellers to Germany.
The first is the Explorer 110, which is characterized by FARMotion engines compliant with Stage III B thanks only to the use of the DOC, which is maintenance-free and does not require the use of additional fluids for operation.
The second strong point is the “wildcard” tractor par excellence, also under the SAME brand, the Dorado Classic 90.4, prized for its great versatility and extreme manoeuvrability, and now aligned with the design of the broader Dorado family.
