OPTI-LIFT by CBM, guaranteed safety

 

OPTI-LIFT is the new product that CBM presents at the five day event in Bologna, an electro-mechanical device for the safe adjustment of the Slider tow hooks. The device (awarded as Technical Mention at EIMA 2018) consists of an electro-mechanical drive unit fixed to the towing frame and connected to the Slider hook by means of a wire rope.

The group is operated by means of a button, easily accessible and adjustable by the operator. The main advantage is to facilitate the adjustment of the Slider tow hook on the frame. Thanks to the electro-mechanical drive, this device relieves the operator of the physical effort necessary for the correct vertical positioning of the hook. Without this device, the operation would be particularly difficult due to the high weight of the hook. A further advantage that the OPTI-LIFT device guarantees is related to safety. When the operator has to adjust the vertical position of the hook, one hand is engaged for opening the release lever, while the other supports and positions it vertically at the desired height. This operation can cause potential injuries to the operator, which are avoided by using the OPTI-LIFT.

At the stand of the Modena-based company, it will also be possible to see the new vertical hydraulic PUH, which is part of the Pick-Up Hitch range, towing systems especially designed for forest applications. In particular, the new system is intended for use on telehandlers without PTO, and thanks to this device, the coupling of the trailer to the machine can be done directly from the cab easily and safely.
